Set up your mail.wactivity.com email account on Android (Gmail app)

Step-by-step instructions for adding your Wactivity email account to the Gmail app on an Android phone, using either automatic or manual setup.

Before You Start

Have your full email address and password ready. If you have two-step verification enabled, create an app password for your mobile device beforehand and use it instead of your regular password.

Your domain publishes automatic configuration (autoconfig), so Gmail will typically detect the servers on its own and only ask for your address and password. Manual steps are provided in case it does not.

Step by Step

  1. Open the Gmail app and tap your profile picture or initial in the top-right corner. Select Add another account.
  2. Choose “Other” (not Google or Outlook): this is a standard email account.
  3. Enter your full email address (e.g., ) and tap Next. If Gmail detects the configuration, it will prompt you for your password and proceed to step 7.
  4. If asked for the account type, select Personal (IMAP).
  5. Enter your email password (or the app password).
  6. If prompted for the servers, enter the same details for both:
  • Incoming mail server: mail.wactivity.com, username your full email address, port 993, SSL/TLS security.
  • Outgoing mail server: mail.wactivity.com, port 465 with SSL/TLS (or 587 with STARTTLS), with Require sign-in enabled and the same username and password.
  1. Choose how often to sync and keep “Notify me when email arrives” checked. Tap Next.
  2. Enter the name you want others to see when you send emails and tap Next. Done: the account will appear in the Gmail menu. Send yourself an email to test it.

If It Doesn’t Work

  • The username is your full email address, not just the part before the @.
  • Log in to mail.wactivity.com with the same password. If you can’t log in there either, the issue is with the password, not the app.
  • With two-step verification enabled, Gmail requires an app password, not your regular one.
