Your New Wactivity Inbox: Getting Started
The first things to do with a newly created email account on Wactivity: set a password, log in, set up your phone and computer, and secure your account.
What You Get
An email account with your own domain (for example, protected email) at mail.wactivity.com. It’s already set up and ready to receive messages right away. Anything sent to an address on your domain that doesn’t exist also goes into your inbox (“catch-all”), so nothing gets lost even if someone misspells the address.Step by step
- Create your password. You’ve received an email with the “Create My Password” button. The link is personal, valid only once, and expires after 72 hours. Choose at least 10 characters, including uppercase letters, lowercase letters, and at least one number. If it has expired, ask the person who set up your mailbox for another one.
- Log in to mail.wactivity.com with your full email address and password. This is your dashboard: from here, you can open webmail to read and send emails, as well as change your password, enable two-step verification, and create app passwords.
- Add the account to your phone and computer. Enter your email address and password: your domain publishes the automatic settings, and most programs will detect them automatically. If any program asks for the servers, use mail.wactivity.com for both incoming and outgoing mail, with your full email address as the username. - Secure your account. Enable two-step verification from the dashboard; after that, each email program will use its own app password. This is explained in “Enable Two-Step Verification.”
- Add your signature. In webmail, you can paste the signature we provide: see the guide “Add Your Signature to Webmail.”
- Need more mailboxes or an alias? In your Wactivity dashboard, under Domains › Email, you can view your mailboxes, request a link to change a password, and request new mailboxes; we’ll create them for you and send you the link.
